Levy Restaurants UK supports Scottish Food Fortnight

The annual Scotland Food and Drink initiative will see more the 300 unique events take place across the country in support of Scottish produce.

The SECC Campus in Glasgow, Edinburgh Zoo and the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) are all getting behind the campaign which celebrates the provenance and producers of Scotland’s abundant larder. During the 16-day campaign, specially devised menus and events have been created to showcase the strength of Scottish producers.

It is anticipated that close to 50,000 guests made up of conference delegates, concert-goers, and domestic and international leisure visitors, will enjoy a taste of Scotland in one of the landmark venues. Suppliers participating in the celebrations include: Campbell’s Prime meats, who recently won a ‘Scottish Food for Life’ award; Graham’s Dairy in Bridge of Allan; and artisan baker, Breadwinner.

Kathleen Warden, Director of Conference Sales, at the SECC, says: “I am delighted that our catering partners, Levy Restaurants UK are participating in Scottish Food Fortnight. It is a fantastic opportunity for us to present the very best local produce to our visitors.”

In addition, Edinburgh Zoo and Levy Restaurants UK have recently won a Food for Life Catering Mark.

Levy Restaurants UK also deliver corporate hospitality, event catering, venue sourcing and leisure support services through its portfolio of businesses including Leith’s, Keith Prowse, Payne and Gunter, Lime Venue Portfolio and LSS. Leith’s specialise in providing conference and banqueting, hospitality and food services to cultural, arts and exhibition locations throughout the country and is the catering body at the EICC.
