Group of chefs with awards

All of our chefs help to develop new concepts and menus for Compass and engage with current and prospective clients.

Our culinary teams are led by our charismatic and highly acclaimed executive chef Nick Vadis. Nick is supported by his four sector executive chefs, each covering one of our four main business sectors. Together they share best practice from the UK across each sector.

Liaising internationally to understand global trends in gastronomy, they create inspired menus and delicious dishes at our innovative centre to add to the Compass offer. Behind them, they have the wealth of knowledge of our highly acclaimed chefs as well as the skills of well-known consultant chefs such as Albert and Michel Roux, Gary Rhodes and Gordon Ramsay.
From commis to executive levels, our team of chefs has been consistently recognised at national and international levels. In the last three years, they have won over 240 awards.
Culinary Olympics 2008

As the only UK contract caterer to enter the Culinary Olympics, Compass had the fantastic opportunity to showcase the incredible talent within our business. Compass Group UK & Ireland team entered a number of different classes demonstrating a range of skills. Under the support and mentoring of executive chefs Nick Vadis, Andy Twells and Richard Bowden, every member of the team won an award.
